The two top floors of the Sky Office in Düsseldorf accommodate the premises of a renowned law firm. Whilst smaller meeting rooms with extensive technical equipment built into the furniture were installed on the 21st floor, the challenge on the 22nd floor was a completely flexible boardroom, which has even been used to receive the Federal Chancellor.
The two-storey external façade and the vaulted steel-pipe ceiling posed a real challenge when it came to integrating the media technology.
While the table systems on the 21st floor were supplied by Holzmedia, Walter Knoll Cone was responsible for the 22nd floor. Both systems are finished with the same veneer. This shows that sometimes it is simply the right mix and the right product that is required for the right room.
